Liberation Through Reproductive Justice
Integrative Postpartum wellness Program
53% of maternal deaths happen postpartum. We are working to widen access to holistic integrative postpartum doula services. The Doula For The People Postpartum Doula Program connects underserved community members with In-home and virtual Postpartum doula care, nutritional support, educational resources, culturally centered community support groups, and lactation consulting.
uprooting systemic oppression
BIPOC birthing people are 3 times more likely to die from maternal health-related complications. Implicit bias, racial injustice, and systemic oppression are largely contributing to negative maternal health outcomes in the United States. We work to provide community members with culturally congruent care and examine maternal health through a holistic lens. Food sovereignty and mental health are some of our top priorities when developing community programming.
Increasing access to Integrative Abortion Care
In a climate where reproductive rights are increasingly under attack, DFTP’s mission is urgent and transformative. DFTP currently offers no-cost, trauma-informed, integrative abortion doula services (this includes miscarriage/pregnancy loss, medication at home, and procedures in clinic/hospital) to people with uteruses in our community in need.

“39.4% of LOW-INCOME Birthing people are food Insecure or marginally food insecure”
